For this game I did all the animation frame by frame. I wanted the characters to be able to easily morph into different shapes which is one of the biggest advantages when using hand drawn animations.
A Life is planned to be a series of short games. The first one is „The Sad Life Of Bernd“. The main idea is that all the games are connected via their storyline and/or their characters. Every game will explain a bit more why the characters are acting as they do and what their personal background stories are. Since I don’t have production money for this, every thing, the graphics, the sound and the technical overhead has to be as minimal as possible.
